Ahmet İlhan Özek (born January 1, 1988 in Aydın ) is a Turkish football player .

Career

society

Ahmet İlhan Özek started club football in the youth of Aydınspor and moved from there in 2006 to the youth of Anadolu Üniversitesi SK . In 2006 he got a professional contract and played on the professional team as a regular player straight away.

After two seasons in the youth of Anadolu Üniversitesi, he signed a professional contract with the second division team Bozüyükspor . Here he became a regular player straight away and played two seasons continuously. Especially in his second season he was able to improve his performance and scored eleven goals in 29 games.

Several teams from the upper leagues became aware of him. The first division club Manisaspor made the race . In his first season at his new club, he was only used sporadically and was more of a reservist. In the 2011/12 season he had his breakthrough at Manisaspor and he was one of the shooting stars of the first half of the season. In the second half of the season his team experienced a big drop in performance and could not hold the class at the end of the season.

In the summer of 2012, like his teammate Yiğit Incedemir, he moved to the first division club Kardemir Karabükspor . He signed a three-year contract here.

For the 2015/16 season, Özek moved to Çaykur Rizespor within the Süper Lig . Here he was suspended from the team during the second half of the 2016/17 season and his contract was terminated early in May 2017. In the summer of 2017 he was signed by the first division club Gençlerbirliği Ankara . With this club he missed relegation at the end of the season and went with him in the TFF 1st Lig . Here he succeeded with his club the runner-up in the league and thus the direct rise.

With the end of his contract in the summer of 2019, Özek left the capital and was signed by the second division Giresunspor .

National team

Özek was appointed to the second selection of the Turkish national team for the first time in 2011 . On February 6, 2013 he made his debut for Turkey in the friendly against the Czech Republic .
