Ufuk Süer (born September 8, 1972 in Izmir , Turkey ) is a former Turkish football player and coach.

Player career

society

Ufuk Süer started with club football in the youth department of Marmarisspor . In 1992 he was accepted into the professional team of the then third division club. After he was active here until the summer of 1995, he moved to the then second division club Bucaspor . Here he played a successful season. The then national coach Fatih Terim became aware of him and nominated the second division player. In the summer of 1996 he moved to Istanbul's top club Beşiktaş Istanbul . Here he only played one season and was loaned to various clubs in the lower Turkish leagues for the remaining four seasons.

With the expiry of his contract in the summer of 2001, he moved to the second division Turgutluspor . Süer played for Turgutluspor for a year and then ended his active professional football career.

National team

For the upcoming friendly game against the Azerbaijani national team on April 9, 1996 , the then Turkish national coach Fatih Terim invited several young players into the squad of the Turkish national team for test purposes . In addition to such players as İlhan Sancaktar , Selahattin Özbir , Vedat İnceefe , Vedat Vatansever and Hakan Şimşek , Sancaktar was also one of the newly nominated players. In this game he was substituted on in the 46th minute and completed his first and only international match.

Coaching career

After the end of his playing career, Süer began to work as a coach. Since 2007 he has been in charge of the youth departments of various amateur clubs.
