Seth Gueko (2010)

Seth Gueko (born October 27, 1980 in Saint-Ouen-l'Aumône , a municipality in the Val-d'Oise department , as Nicolas Salvadori ) is a French rapper who is under contract with the Neochrome label .

biography

The son of an Italian and a Russian, Seth Gueko grew up in the northern outskirts of Paris. His stage name comes from Seth Gecko , one of the main characters in the film From Dusk Till Dawn .

He made his way into the French rap scene in early 2000 through the Neochrome label and his buddy Sinik . After several compilations with artists of the label, he released his first single in 2004, Mains sales . A year later, Le barillet est plein, the first street album followed, which became one of the most successful of the year. This made Seth Gueko the figurehead of the French label.

After further features for mixtapes and compilations for the label, his second album, Patate de forain , was released in spring 2007 . He was able to convince once again with catchy punchlines , which finally earned him the reputation of being one of the best rappers on the scene. A year later he followed up with the Mixtape Drive-by en caravane , in which, among other things, he illustrates his Gypsy roots. In the same year he also delivered the single for the blockbuster Mesrine , of which he is very impressed. So it was not surprising that Seth Gueko subsequently released a best-of album called Les fils de Jack Mess .

At the beginning of 2009 he made a deal with the Hostile label , but remained loyal to the guys from Neochrome . A few months later, the album La chevalière was released , which brought him into the top 10 of the French album charts for the first time. With his contribution to Booba's Mixtape Autopsy Vol. 3 , he confirmed his claims to belong to the first guard of French rapeseed.
