Sfaradim VeEdot Misrach ( Hebrew ספרדים ועדות מזרח, Sfaradim VeEdot Mizrah ; German  Sephardi and communities of the Orient ; English Sephardim and Edot Mizrah or Sephardim and Oriental Communities ) was a political party in Israel . It existed from 1948 to 1951.

The party represented the Sephardim and Mizrahim groups who lived in Palestine before the declaration of independence in 1948 . The Sfaradim VeEdot Misrach was elected to the founding assembly in 1949 , which then became the 1st Knesset . She was involved in the first government of Israel, in which she formed a coalition with the following parties:

Overall, the party, under slightly changing names, participated in the first and second government during the first legislative period and at the beginning of the second legislative period from 1949 to 1951 . Shortly after the elections for the 2nd Knesset, it united with the Hitachdut HaTeimanim beJisra'el (German Yemeni Association in Israel ) to form the General Zionist Party (Tzionim Klaliym) .

On September 10, 1951, the Sfaradim VeEdot disbanded. The newly formed General Zionists later united with other center parties to form the Miflaga Liberalit Jisra'elit and merged in the Gachal electoral alliance with the conservative Cherut , which eventually became Likud .
