Sherry Stringfield

Sherry Lea Stringfield (born June 24, 1967 in Colorado Springs , Colorado ) is an American actress . She is best known for her role as Dr. Susan Lewis in the hospital series Emergency Room from 1994-1996, 2001-2005 and 2009, but also for Laura Michaels in the first season (1993-1994) of the crime series New York Cops - NYPD Blue . For the former, she was nominated three times for an Emmy and twice for a Golden Globe Award . Together with the Emergency Room ensemble , she won Screen Actors Guild Awards in 1996 and 1997 . Her work includes more than 30 film and television productions.
