Shrapnel is an English thrash metal band from Norwich that was formed in 2009.
history
The band was formed in April 2009 and consisted of the singer Jae Hadley, the two guitarists Nath Sadd and Chris Martin, the bassist Adam Read and the drummer Chris Williams. In the same year, the first EP No Saviors followed, followed by the second under the name The Devastation to Come in 2010 . For the latter, Russ Russel ( Evile , Napalm Death ) was active as a producer. Under his direction, the group recorded their debut album The Virus Conspires at Parlor Studios in autumn 2012 . This was followed by appearances with bands such as Evile, Gama Bomb , Chthonic , Exodus , Sepultura , Suicidal Tendencies , Sacred Reich and Death Angel as well as on the stage of the Bloodstock Open Air . Meanwhile, bassist Shaun Mcelhinney and drummer Simon Jackson joined the band as new members. In February 2014, the release of the debut album The Virus Conspires on Candlelight Records .
