Sibongile Mlambo
Sibongile Mlambo (born June 26, 1990 ) is a Zimbabwean actress and model who lives and works in the United States .
Life
Sibongile Mlambo comes from Zimbabwe, where her father worked as a doctor. Her older sister is also an actress. In 2005 she left Zimbabwe to study French and Spanish in college in the United States. Originally, she wanted to pursue a career path similar to that of her father as a physiotherapist. There she lived in Texas and New York for a while before returning to her homeland in 2011 and living and working in South Africa , including Cape Town and Johannesburg . After returning to the United States, she settled in Los Angeles .

Mlambo took her first acting role in 1997 in the childhood film Kini & Adams . From 2012 she could be seen again in front of the camera, initially mainly in guest roles on US television, including in Strike Back , Beaver Falls , Mad Dogs and Homeland . In addition, she took on small roles in films such as Ladygrey , While You Weren't Looking , To Kill a Man - No way back , The Last Face or Message from the King . In 2015 she played one of the leading roles as Ishani Mfeke in the dance film Honey 3: Dare to Dance . She is a trained dancer herself.
In 2014 she took on a recurring role as Eme in the series Black Sails , which she played until 2017. She also appeared in Teen Wolf as Tamara Monroe in 2017. A supporting role as Angela followed in 2018 in the Netflix series Lost in Space - Lost between strange worlds . She also took on one of the leading roles in the Siren series as Donna .
To model
In 2007, Mlambo was elected Vice Princess in the Miss Zim USA election. As a model, she was particularly successful on the African continent, where she modeled for products from the Nivea brand .
