Sibyll-Anka Klotz (born March 4, 1961 in Berlin ) is a German politician of the Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen party . From November 2006 to November 2016 she was city ​​councilor for health and social affairs in the Tempelhof-Schöneberg district , from 2011 for health, social affairs and urban development. Before that, she was a member of the Berlin House of Representatives between 1991 and 2006 .

Life

Sibyll-Anka Klotz grew up in the eastern part of Berlin. She studied at the Humboldt University of Berlin philosophy and a doctorate in the subject. She currently lives in Berlin with her daughter and her partner.

politics

Klotz was a member of the Socialist Unity Party of Germany (SED) from 1983 to 1989 . In 1990 she was involved in the founding of the Independent Women's Association (UFV) as a party during the transition period in the GDR . Klotz has been a member of the Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen party since 1995. She was a member of the Berlin House of Representatives from 1991 to 2006 and became a city councilor in 2006.

In 1990 Klotz was first elected to the House of Representatives for the UFV, which formed a parliamentary group with Alliance 90 and the Greens. In 1995 and 2001 she was the top candidate for Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen in the Berlin state elections . In the House of Representatives Klotz was parliamentary group leader of her group from 1993 to 1995, 1997 and from November 1999 to October 2006 , from January 1998 to November 1999 deputy group chairman. She was also the parliamentary group's spokesperson for the labor market and women's policy.

In 2001 she was involved in the negotiations for the formation of a red / green transition senate ( Senate Wowereit I ) and, after the new elections, in negotiations for the formation of a traffic light coalition in Berlin.
