description

Sideritis endressii is a perennial plant that can grow to a height of 30 cm and is tomentose or hairy. The leaves are 10 to 35 mm long and 5 to 20 mm wide. They are elliptical to inversely egg-shaped or inversely lanceolate in shape and have almost entire margins to notched or notched-toothed at the edge. They are sessile or only stand on short petioles .

The inflorescences are false whorls, which are in groups of five to ten (rarely up to 15) more or less densely in the upper area of ​​the plant and consist of six flowers . The lower bracts are 8 to 9 mm long, ovate-heart-shaped or ovate-elliptical. They are clearly toothed, although they sometimes have only a few teeth.

The cup is 9 to 17 mm long and has a ring of trichomes on the inside. The crown is yellow in color, tinted dark brown or purple on the inside, and is 9 to 20 mm long.

Occurrence

The species occurs in the south of France and in the east of Spain .
