Siedliska is a village in the Bobowa municipality in the Gorlicki powiat of the Lesser Poland Voivodeship in Poland .

geography

The place is located on the right bank of the Biała River in the Ciężkowice Mountains . The neighboring towns are the city of Bobowa in the southwest, Sędziszowa in the northwest, Zborowice in the north, Staszkówka in the northeast, Biesna in the east, and Stróżna in the south.

history

The place was first mentioned in 1325/1326 as the parish [ Gregorius plebanus ecclesiae ] Sidlisicz in the Peterspfennigregister in the dean's office Nowy Sącz (New Sandez) of the diocese of Krakow .

Politically and administratively the village belonged to the Kingdom of Poland (from 1569 in the aristocratic republic of Poland-Lithuania ), Krakow Voivodeship , Biecz District . During the Reformation under the Jordan family, the local church became the seat of initially a Helvetic , later an Arian congregation, from 1561 to 1595 . H. of the Polish Brothers .

During the first partition of Poland , Siedliska came to the new Kingdom of Galicia and Lodomeria of the Habsburg Empire in 1772 (from 1804).
