Life
Siegfried Adler, son of an imperial Austrian postmaster , was, like his father, active in the postal service. At the instigation of the artistic director Scharfenstein-Pfeil, he decided to go to the stage and pursue a career as a singer. For this purpose he took lessons from the singing teachers Wallerstein in Prague and Kroupa in Munich and appeared for the first time in the role of “Manrico” in the troubadour at the city theater in Pilsen . After four years on provincial theaters, he came to the summer theater in Ischl , from there to the Theater an der Wien , then to the Gärtnerplatztheater in Munich (inaugural role: "Barinkay" in the Gypsy Baron ) and was there at the Theater des Westens committed in Berlin.
In 1910 he can be found with the Vienna Symphony Orchestra . In 1920 he played in the film Das alten Lied by Karl Otto Krause .
Nothing is known about his further life after 1920.
