Siegfried Fehmer

Siegfried Wolfgang Fehmer (born January 10, 1911 in Munich , † March 16, 1948 in Oslo ) was a Gestapo member during the German occupation of Norway between 1940 and 1945.

biography

After graduating from high school, Fehmer studied law in Berlin, graduating as a lawyer in 1933. In the same year he joined the NSDAP . On April 18, 1934, he married Anni Wille and began working for the police headquarters in the fall.

On April 29, 1940, he flew to Oslo with other members of the RSHA . He had meanwhile held the rank of SS-Obersturmführer and Detective Inspector . In 1943 he was promoted to Kriminalrat and SS-Hauptsturmführer . With the reorganization of the security police in Norway in 1945, Fehmer became head of Division IV of the Gestapo in Oslo. During his time in Norway he learned to speak Norwegian fluently. As a criminal investigator, he was responsible for several tortures during interrogation and the drafting of the relevant guidelines.

Fehmer tried to flee to Sweden after the surrender , but was caught by British secret service agent John Maclean. The officers at the interrogation called him "very intelligent and educated". On 27 June 1947 it condemned the appeals court to death , the Norwegian Supreme Court upheld the sentence on 24 February 1948 against two voices and on March 16, 1948 Fehmer was in the Akershus Fortress in Oslo shot .
