Siegfried Loose

Siegfried Loose (born June 23, 1915 in Berlin ; † May 12, 1996 ) was a German politician ( CDU ). From 1967 to 1979 he was a member of the Landtag of Schleswig-Holstein .

Life and work

Siegfried Loose attended a secondary school and graduated from high school. He then does labor service . From 1936 he studied law at the University of Berlin until he did military service from 1937 . In 1939 Loose became an officer and took part in World War II . In 1943 he was wounded in North Africa, and in 1945 he was released with the rank of captain . From 1946 he worked as a trainee at a stock corporation in the fertilizer industry , from 1955 he was an authorized signatory .

He was married and had three children.

Loose joined the CDU in 1958. In 1962 he was elected a city councilor in Ahrensburg . After successful re-election in 1966, he became chairman of the finance committee and second deputy mayor of the city.

In the state elections in 1967 , 1971 and 1975 Loose was elected to the Schleswig-Holstein state parliament as a direct candidate for the CDU in constituency 44 (Ahrensburg). He was a member of parliament from May 16, 1967 to May 26, 1979. During his time from May 1967 to April 1969 he held the post of deputy parliamentary group chairman for the CDU , and from 1971 to 1975 he was a member of the parliamentary group committee. In addition to other committee memberships, he was chairman of the special committee “Hearing of the Young” between 1968 and 1970, deputy chairman of the committee for work and development in the sixth legislative period and deputy chairman of the state planning committee in the seventh and eighth legislative periods.

In 1975 he was awarded the Federal Cross of Merit on ribbon.
