Siegharting is a district of the municipality of Samerberg in the Upper Bavarian district of Rosenheim and has ten inhabitants (as of May 6, 2016).

Geographical location

The place is located southwest of the municipality in Törwang at an altitude of up to 692 m above sea level. NHN. In the north, Siegharting borders on Dorfen, in the southeast on Eßbaum.

history

The verifiable history of the district goes back to the year 1312.

"Wolfker von Klammenstein gave the Altenhohenau monastery« his own in Syghartingen »in 1312."

Around 1500 Siegharting consisted of the Adler and Glas goods .

Gut Glas was demolished at the end of the 19th century and parts of the property were given to the neighboring districts of Eßbaum and Dorfen as well as the neighboring estate.

Today the Adler estate belongs to the Stuffer family, who took over the estate through marriage in 1755.

The district today consists of the main house including stables, two residential buildings and an outbuilding.

The place name is made up of the personal name Sigihart and the final syllable -ing .

Community membership

Sieharting belonged to the Steinkirchen community until 1969 . This year, in a referendum, 88 percent of voters in the four previously independent communities Steinkirchen, Roßholzen, Grainbach and Törwang decided to merge. On January 1, 1970, the new community "Samerberg" was formed with its seat in Törwang, to which the 78 places of the four former communities belong.

Economy and Infrastructure

Companies

The Stuffer family keeps around 25 cows as a sideline for milk production on the Adlerhof. It is affiliated with the Bergader private cheese dairy , and Michael Stuffer Senior is also a brand ambassador for Bergader Bergbauern.

The family also runs a holiday apartment in the main house.

traffic

The district of Siegharting can be reached via the RO 9 from Höhenmoos to Breiten. From the south an asphalt single-lane road leads through the town through Eßbaum , from the north an only partially asphalt forest path leads from Dorfen to Siegharting.
