Sielbeck is a district of the East Holstein district town of Eutin in Schleswig-Holstein . With 234 inhabitants, the village is the fourth largest district of Eutin after the city center, Neudorf and Fissau.

location

Sielbeck lies between the eastern bank of the Kellersee and the western bank of the Ukleisees in Holstein Switzerland. The village borders directly on the Krummsee district of the Malente community . Sielbeck is about three kilometers from the nearest Eutin district of Fissau, and about six kilometers from Eutin city center.

The traffic connection is via the highways 163 and 174, as well as the federal highways 76 and 432, seven and eleven kilometers away . The nearest interchanges on the federal motorway 1 are Neustadt in Holstein-Pelzerhaken (20 kilometers away) and Eutin (22 kilometers away). The next train stations are in Eutin and Bad Malente-Gremsmühlen.

History and population development

Sielbeck hunting lodge

Sielbeck belonged under the name Sielbeck-Uklei to the municipality of Malente since 1857, before it was changed to the town of Eutin on July 1, 1937. Around 100 people lived in the village at the end of the 19th century, from the 1910s this number rose to up to 175 people residing in the village (1919). Even in the later course of the 20th century, between 100 and 200 people lived in the village before the number of inhabitants rose to over 200 in the last few decades.

economy and politics

According to § 13 of the Eutin city statute, the village has a village board who represents the interests of the village towards the city councils. In local elections, the village together with the nearest parts of the village of Fissau form the 12th electoral district of Eutins.

The main industry in the village is tourism. In addition to several holiday complexes, there is a kiosk, a civic association ( Sparclub "Zum Uklei" ) and the TSV Sielbeck sports club located in the city center .

Attractions

On the banks of the Ukleisee is the Jagdschlösschen am Ukleisee , which was built in 1776 by order of Friedrich August I under the direction of the master builder Georg Greggenhofer .
