History and population development

The village of Sibbersdorf, which was previously called Subbesdorpe , belonged to the rural community of Eutin for a long time, together with Neudorf and Fissau, before the three villages were incorporated into the town of Eutin as part of a regional reform in 1933. Sibbersdorf had around 180 inhabitants in the mid-19th century, although this number temporarily fell to less than 100 registered people in the 1900s.

Politics and culture

According to § 13 of the Eutin city statute, the village has a village board who represents the interests of the village towards the city councils. In local elections, Sibbersdorf and parts of the village of Fissau form the 13th district electoral district.

There are also connections with Fissau in the form of the Fissau-Sibbersdorf volunteer fire brigade and the Fissau-Sibbersdorf village association .
