The Type 145 is a container feeder vessel type of Sietas in Neuenfelde . A distinction is made between types 145 and 145a within the series.

history

Sietas manufactured six units of the basic type 145 in 1989. The ships were ordered by the Finnish shipping companies Ab Engship in Turku and Oy Langh Ship Ab in Piikkiö . Engship took over the affreightment of all six ships.

Two further units, the Angermanland and Hälsingland ships, primarily designed for the transport of forest products , were delivered to the tom Wörden shipping company in 1989 and 1990 with the type designation 145a . In contrast to the other six ships, they are equipped with loading cranes with a load capacity of 25 t each.

Initially, the ships were used exclusively on European feeder services. The Hälsingland was the end of 2015 and the Angermanland in spring 2018 by the Sulpicio Lines acquired and transferred to Asia.

technology

The individual box-shaped loading space with a volume of 6,521 m³ is equipped for the transport of containers and the transport of dangerous goods containers, whereby no cell guides were installed as standard . The cargo space can be divided by grain bulkheads, which enables different loads to be transported at the same time. Hydraulically operated folding hatch covers made by MacGregor / Navire, reinforced with heavy cargo, were used. Due to the shape of the hold, this type of ship can also be used for cellulose or wood parcel shipping. The tank tops are reinforced for stowing heavy cargo.

The ships were built in sections . Their reinforced hulls are designed for ice thicknesses of up to 80 centimeters and meet ice class E3. They are driven by a Wärtsilä Vasa 8R32D diesel engine that acts on a controllable pitch propeller . The ships are equipped with a bow thruster .
