Siggi Schwientek

Siegfried "Siggi" Schwientek (born August 6, 1952 in Alfeld ) is a German actor . He is the brother of the actor Norbert Schwientek .

Life

After an apprenticeship as a window dresser , he worked as a stage technician in various theaters between 1972 and 1976, for example at the Theater Neumarkt Zurich , the Zimmertheater Tübingen and the independent theater group. He then made his debut as an actor at the Stadttheater Freiburg , where he was under contract until 1980. From 1980 to 1984 he was engaged at the Städtische Bühnen in Frankfurt am Main (servant Jepichodow in Anton Chekhov's " Der Kirschgarten ") as well as at the Staatstheater Kassel . From 1986 to 1988 he worked as a freelance actor in Kassel, at the Schauspielhaus Zurich and subsequently permanently engaged at the Stadttheater Basel and the Deutsches Schauspielhaus Hamburg . Schwientek embodied here u. a. the Mephisto in Christoph Marthaler 's adaptation of Goethe. Since 2000 he has been engaged at the Schauspielhaus Zurich.

In addition to his theater work, he also took on roles in film and television and played under the direction of Paulus Manker in the film Schmutz at the side of Fritz Schediwy , as well as under Helmuth Lohner in the crime thriller Mörderischer Wohnen - The Death of the Last Tenant (next to Christian Quadflieg ), alongside Joachim Król in the drama The Innocence of the Crows and in the TV series Polizeiruf 110 .
