Sigibodo I. (Speyer)
Sigibodo I was Bishop of Speyer from 1038 to 1051.
Sigibodo I came from a Franconian family and received his spiritual training in Speyer. Under Sigibodo, the All Saints Monastery was created not far from the Speyer Cathedral (see also the history of the city of Speyer ). In 1040 he also consecrated what is now the Protestant Church in Wollmesheim , the oldest surviving village church in the Palatinate .
