Signe Heiberg

Signe Heiberg (* 1988 in Copenhagen ) is a Danish opera singer ( soprano ).

Life

Signe Heiberg sang as a child. Her studies she first graduated from 2010 to 2013 at the Royal Danish Academy of Music (Royal Danish Academy of Music) in Copenhagen and then to 2016 at the Academy of Music and Theater in Hamburg with Carolyn James (soprano), where the master's degree in Made opera singing and passed her concert exam. Signe Heiberg took part in numerous master classes. In 2014 she won a special prize at the Éva Marton singing competition in Hungary . Heiberg works privately with the dramatic mezzo-soprano Michaela Schuster .

During her studies, she was already involved in various university productions. She made her debut at Schlossoper Haldenstein in Switzerland in the summer of 2015 as Rosalinde in the Strauss operetta Die Fledermaus .

She received her first engagement in the 2015/16 season at the Lüneburg Theater , where she sang the role of "Rabenhexe" in the world premiere of the children's opera Sterntaler und Rabenhexe by Thomas Dorsch . Heiberg has been a permanent member of the ensemble at Theater Lüneburg since the 2016/17 season, where she made her debut as a permanent member in September 2016 with great success as Desdemona in Otello . Heiberg sang the following operatic roles at the Lüneberg Theater: the mother in Hansel and Gretel (season 2017/18), the countess in Figaro's wedding (season 2017/18), Micaëla in Carmen (season 2017/18) and Mimì in La Bohème (season 2018/19). She also appeared in operettas and musicals , where she sang Countess Gabriele Zedlau in the Strauss operetta Wiener Blut and Iduna in Das Feuerwerk .

From March to May 2019, Heiberg sang the role of Marschallin in the Strauss opera Der Rosenkavalier at the Lüneburg Theater . As part of a cooperation between Das Erste and Theater Lüneburg, Heiberg was also seen in several episodes of the ARD telenovela Rote Rosen .

At the Eutin Summer Festival 2019 Signe Heiberg will be guest in the role of Amelia in the Verdi opera Ein Maskenball .
