Silvano Basagni (born August 6, 1938 in Florence ; † May 10, 2017 there ) was an Italian sports shooter .

successes

Silvano Basagni participated in three Olympic Games in the trap part. In 1972 he scored 195 points in Munich , taking third place behind Angelo Scalzone and Michel Carrega and thus winning the bronze medal. Four years later he did not get beyond 21st place in Montreal with 175 points. At the 1980 Olympic Games in Moscow he achieved a far better result with 194 points, with which he finished the competition in seventh place.

At world championships Basagni won bronze in individual competitions in Bern in 1974 and took second place in Seoul in 1978 . With the team he became world champion in Bologna in 1967 , in Antibes in 1977 , in Montecatini Terme in 1979 , in Caracas in 1982 and again in Montecatini Terme in 1985. In 1971 in Bologna and 1974 in Bern, he also secured silver with her and bronze in Phoenix in 1970 .
