history

The order for the new building became public in July 2015. Construction began on July 24, 2015 at the Fincantieri shipyard in Sestri Ponente . The ship was laid down on December 10, 2015 . The floating took place on July 1st, 2016.

The ship was handed over to the shipping company on April 3, 2017.

Technical specifications

The ship is powered by diesel-electric technology . Four diesel generator sets are available for power generation. The generators are driven by four Wärtsilä 9L38 diesel engines, each with an output of 6,525 kW. An emergency generator was also installed. It is driven by two electric motors, each with an output of 8,500 kW, which drive two fixed propellers.
