Silversand is a mainly instrumental album by Sigi Schwab and Percussion Academia . It was recorded in May 1985 at Union Studios in Munich and released on CD in the same year .
Stylistic
The record was the trio's second production after Rondo A Tre (1983). The further development of Schwab's polyphonically used guitar and the complex rhythm of the two percussionists are characteristic. Marchena's vocal contributions are also largely instrumental. The work is considered a typical representative of the beginning world music of the early 1980s. Schwab continued to play the compositions with the new Trio Percussion Project (Keller, Shotham ) from 1994 onwards.
