The cross on the summit of the Simmerkopf

The Simmerkopf in the Soonwald is 653 m above sea level. NHN the highest point in the Rhein-Hunsrück district . The mountain lies within the boundaries of the local community of Riesweiler . The summit is completely in a spruce monoculture, a cross with explanations and a bench show the hiker the place. A view over the Hunsrück is not possible from the summit of the Simmerkopf.
