Simon Brehm (born December 31, 1921 , † February 11, 1967 ) was a Swedish big band leader, bassist and composer of swing .

Life

Brehm learned the piano and clarinet and from 1938 played guitar (which he taught himself in hospital while suffering from scarlet fever) in an amateur band Fair Play with Gösta and Hasse Theselius. He then played bass in various bands, such as that of the Hotel Embassy, ​​the Royal Swingers in Uppsala , the Stockholm bands of Charlie Norman , Carl-Henrik Norin and Arne Hülphers , before he founded his own band in 1946, in which at times a. a.
