Simon Fuller

Simon Fuller (born May 17, 1960 in Cyprus ) is a British music and television producer.

He was the manager of the Spice Girls when they were celebrating their successes, as well as marketing strategist for the Honda Formula 1 team . Until May 2019 he was the manager of Victoria and David Beckham .

At the end of 1985, after the great success of Paul Hardcastle with his hit "19", he founded 19 Management Ltd. and 19 Entertainment Ltd. based in London . Simon Fuller is also the discoverer and manager of the pop band S Club 7 , as well as their successor band S Club 8 . He devised and developed the television format for the talent show Pop Idol , which is broadcast worldwide in numerous local variants ; in Germany it was adopted under the title " Deutschland sucht den Superstar ".

On March 17, 2005, Fuller sold 19 Ltd. to the North American billionaire Robert FX Sillerman , who is among other things the owner of the CKX and has the entire marketing rights to Elvis Presley , for 188 million dollars (140 million euros) to acquire a stake in CKx Inc., which u. a. produced the shows American Idol and Pop Idol . He became Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of 19 Entertainment Limited at CKx.

From 2011 to summer 2014 he was the manager of Lewis Hamilton .

Fuller's attitude towards his work with stars ("I make stars. This is my business.") And, in particular, his associated commitment to branding ("Pop stars, these are nothing but brands that have to be gutted to the last") is supported by some artists (including Robbie Williams , Chris Martin ) viewed critically.

In June 2011, Fuller was awarded a star in the television category (6268 Hollywood Boulevard ) on the Hollywood Walk of Fame .
