In 2005 Inou M-Media, Association for the Promotion of Intercultural Media Work , founded an association of migrants in Austria based in Vienna , which advocates more ethnic diversity in Austrian media companies and an appropriate representation of immigrants in the Austrian mainstream media . In the years 2008 to 2013 and 2014/2015 M-Media published the Austrian media manual Migration and Diversity .

From January 28, 2007, M-Media employees worked with editors from the daily newspaper Die Presse to create an editorial page on Austrian topics. The aim of this project was to allow more perspectives from representatives of the ethnic communities to flow into the reporting and to learn from each other. For the project, M-Media received the “2008 Award for Intercultural Dialogue Projects” from the Ministry of Education. The cooperation with “Die Presse”, which was initially only planned for 2008 - the European Year of Intercultural Dialogue - was initially continued after this year. Overall, the "integration page" (in print version) was continued until the end of 2012. In addition, special training and further education offers enabled migrants to gain a foothold in Austrian journalism . In October 2012 he founded the Lichtfarben picture agency, whose aim is to facilitate the media illustration of content that revolves around migration for Austrian media.

In 2007, Inou and Béatrice Achaleke initiated the BlackAustria communication campaign to break down prejudices against black people living in Austria.

In the summer of 2009, Inou criticized the Eskimo advertising campaign with the slogan "I will Mohr" as racist, whereupon the ice cream producer had the advertising posters removed.
