Simona Fabjan (born February 7, 1989 in Ljubljana ) is a Slovenian beach volleyball player .

Career

Simona Fabjan has formed a duo with her sister Erika since 2004 . The sisters made their first international appearance at the 2004 Youth World Cup in Termoli . A year later, they finished fifth in the same competition at Saint-Quay-Portrieux . In 2006 in Mysłowice and 2007 in Modena they took part in the Junior World Championships. In 2009 they made two fifth places in satellite tournaments and finished ninth in the U23 European Championship in Jantarny . Then they played their first open tournaments. At the EM 2010 in Berlin they came third in the group of the last sixteen and were defeated by the German duo Köhler /Brew . In 2011 in Kristiansand they had to compete against the Germans again in the preliminary round and were eliminated from the group bottom without winning a set. In 2012 Fabjan formed a new duo with Andreja Vodeb . At the European Championships in Scheveningen, the Slovenians were eliminated after the preliminary round without winning a set.
