Simone Erni (* 1946 in Lucerne ) is a Swiss painter , designer and commercial artist . She designed, among other things, wine labels, phone cards, posters, etc. like. And she designed art books. Landscapes and cities are a theme of her artistic work.

life and work

Simone Erni was born in Lucerne in 1946 as the daughter of the Swiss painter and sculptor Hans Erni and Gertrud Erni-Bohnerts. She studied at the teacher training college in Lucerne and then at the “École des Beaux Arts” in Geneva . Early 80s laid Simone Erni, her husband Raphael Fornara and son Franco residing in the United States and lived in Palm Springs ( California ). Since returning to Switzerland, she has lived in Lugano. Her pictures and lithographs have been exhibited in many galleries in Switzerland and abroad.

Art projects

Various projects followed, including a lithograph series with animals from the arena of the Swiss National Circus Knie , a triptych for the Altenberg Cathedral Association in Germany with the theme "The life of St. Bernard of Clairvaux ". In 1988 the Fornara-Erni couple opened one in Lucerne Gallery. At the end of 1994, Erni turned to modeling reliefs . Erni worked as a commercial graphic artist for a number of Swiss companies and institutions. In spring 2003 Simone Erni created a home fashion collection, bed linen and beach towels. In the summer of 2003, the lithograph was created for the Laurana Foundation, depicting different women who symbolize the various aspects of the Foundation. In 2006 Simone Erni designed templates for casino chips , until 2007 more than 20 different motifs. In 2008 she designed a color lithograph as a poster for the Federal Yodelling Festival in Lucerne.
