Culture event manager

Simone Hofmann has brought the Fête de la Musique to Berlin. As the curator, director and managing director of the entire event, she also bore full responsibility. Simone Hofmann began preparing for this cultural event in June around October of the previous year. This major Berlin event was financed by the Berlin Senate for Culture and substantial funds from the German Lottery Foundation until 2017 . After the Berlin Senate for Culture repeatedly failed to reach agreement on the future financing of the event, Simone Hofmann finally withdrew as the organizer of the “Fête de la Musique” Berlin after 23 years in June 2017. At the same time, she protested against the "unsystematic financing practice" by the state of Berlin. "I hope that this charming, timeless music festival will finally have planning security through its inclusion in the Berlin state budget in the form of institutional funding and that this unworthy begging will come to an end," explained Hofmann. She is no longer available for any further organization of the Fête de la Musique.

Carnival of the Cultures

Simone Hofmann worked for the Carnival of Cultures from 1996 to 1998 as production manager for the street parade and then from 1999 to 2001 as production manager for the street festival. Lucia Christmas Market
