Simone Holder (born December 26, 1988 in Reutlingen ) is a German soccer player .

Career

Holder started her career as a right defender at the age of 9 in the E-youth team of WSV Mehrstetten. After four years she left her hometown club and joined the VfL Munderkingen C-Youth , where she was promoted to the senior team for the 2005/2006 season at the age of 17. In summer 2010 she turned her back on Munderkingen and moved to TSV Ludwigsburg . After a year in the league with TSV Ludwigsburg, she went to the 2nd women's division for VfL Sindelfingen. In Sindelfingen she made her second division debut on August 28, 2011 in the away game against ETSV Würzburg . At the end of the 2011/2012 season, she helped VfL Sindelfingen to advance to the women's Bundesliga with good performances in 19 games. There she made her Bundesliga debut in the 4-0 defeat against FSV Gütersloh in 2009 . After three years for VfL Sindelfingen , including two seasons as team captain in the Bundesliga , she ended her active football career.

From the summer of 2014 Holder played for the lower class SV Hegnach , with whom she surprisingly reached the second round of the DFB Cup in the 2015/16 season as a fifth division. At the end of 2015, she left SV Hegnach and switched to the regional league team ETSV Würzburg in the following season .

Holder was born in Reutlingen in 1988 and grew up in neighboring Münsingen. She also attended grammar school there for five years and graduated from high school in January 2009. She then studied surgical engineering assistant (OTA) at the Academy for Health Professions in Heidelberg . Since graduating in 2012, she has been working alongside soccer in her job as a surgical assistant in cardiac surgery at the Robert Bosch Hospital in Stuttgart . Since her career as a soccer player, she has been working full-time as an OTA at the Robert Bosch Hospital in Stuttgart.
