Simone Tomassini (born May 11, 1974 in Vertemate con Minoprio ), also known only as Simone , is an Italian singer.

Life

Tomassini taught himself to play the guitar . After several years as a soloist and as a member of bands, he signed his first recording deal in 2004 with Bollicine , the music publisher of Vasco Rossi . His contribution to the Sanremo Festival 2004 , È stato tanto tempo fa , took twelfth place and was released as a single by EMI . The song reached number 38 in the Italian charts and the debut album Giorni also reached the top 30. Tomassini accompanied Vasco Rossi, who in turn had written several songs on Tomassini's debut album, as a pre-musician on his Buoni o Cattivi tour in 2004.

In May 2005 Tomassini recorded his second album Buon viaggio and released the single Quando sei ragazzo . In March 2005 he was a participant in the second edition of the music reality show Music Farm at Simona Ventura . He took third place. He was also a pre-musician on Vasco Rossi's 2005 tour. A concert in the sold out Club Alcatraz in Milan was recorded for the music DVD Live - Simone Alcatraz Milano 05 . In 2006 Tomassini released the third album Sesso, Gioia & Rock 'n' Roll produced by Vince Tempera . The song Fuori come un balcone is included on the soundtrack of the film Vita Smeralda by Jerry Calà . In addition, a Portuguese-language live album made it into the charts in Portugal.

The album De ti , produced for the Spanish-speaking market, was released in June 2011. In November 2011 he published his first book with the title Confessioni… di un pazzo (“Confessions… of a madman”) and a cover version of the song Happy Xmas (War Is Over) by John Lennon on the occasion of the 31st anniversary of his death.
