The Sissim ( Russian Сиси́м ) is a right tributary of the Yenisei in the Krasnoyarsk region in Siberia .
The Sissim arises in the far west of the East Sayan at the confluence of its two source rivers south of the Manskoje Belogorje mountain . The river flows mainly in a westerly direction, before flowing into the Krasnoyarsk reservoir about 40 km east of Novoselowo . The Sissim flows through the administrative districts Kuraginski , Idrinski and Balachtinski . The Sissim has a length of 270 km. It drains an area of 3260 km². Since the construction of the Krasnoyarsk Reservoir in 1967-1970, the lower reaches of the Sissim have been backed up over a length of more than 30 km.
