Sixt Werner Vogt von Altensumerau and Prasberg (born June 2, 1575 - † November 16, 1627 in Constance ) was Prince-Bishop of Constance from 1626 to 1627.

family

Sixt Werner came from the old line of the bailiffs of Altensumerau (von Hallwyl) and Prasberg , who were under the influence of the Vorarlberg Hohenems Imperial Counts, as well as Markus Sittikus von Hohenems , Bishop of Constance 1561 to 1589, Johann Rudolf Vogt von Summerau and Prasberg, † 1601 as canon in Eichstätt , and Franz Johann Vogt of Altensumerau and Prasberg , Bishop of Constance 1645 to 1689.

Life

Sixt Werner Vogt of Summerau to Praßberg studied in 1587 at the University of Dillingen and was from 1588 Augsburger provost and 1589 in Konstanz, 1594 in Eichstätt and in 1617 in Salzburg. Later he was dean of the cathedral in Constance.

Sixt Werner became Bishop of Constance in 1626 , but died in 1627. He was buried in Constance Minster.
