Sjarhej Anatoljewitsch Hozmanau ( Belarusian Сяргей Анатолевіч Гоцманаў ; born March 27, 1959 in Minsk ) is a former Soviet-Belarusian football player .

Sjarhej Hozmanau was a member of the first team of Dynamo Minsk from 1979 and surprisingly became Soviet champions with this team in 1982. In 1987 Hozmanau stood with his team in the final of the Soviet Cup against Dynamo Kiev . Minsk lost this game on penalties. Between 1983 and 1989, the attacking midfielder was voted Belarusian Footballer of the Year four times .

Between 1984 and 1988 he played 31 times for the Soviet national team and scored two goals. He took part in the European Championship in Germany in 1988 with the Soviet team , Hozmanau was used four times during this tournament, and he was also used in the final of the tournament, which the Soviet Union lost to the Netherlands team.

In February 1990 Hozmanau moved to England, first to Brighton & Hove Albion , then in the summer of 1990 to Southampton FC . At the beginning of the 1991/92 season he moved to Germany in the then 2nd League South for Halleschen FC , but could not prevent the club's relegation towards the end of the season.

Between 1992 and 1993 Hozmanau came to three missions for the Belarusian national football team .

After initially returning to Dynamo Minsk in 1992, he later moved to the United States for the Minnesota Thunder team . In 1999, Sjarhej Hozmanau ended his active career. His son Andrei (* 1986) was in the professional squad of Minnesota Stars FC in the North American Soccer League in the 2011 season .
