Renan Bardsini Bressan ( Belarusian Рэнан Бардзіні Брэсан ; born November 3, 1988 in Tubarão , Brazil ) is a Belarusian football player of Brazilian origin. He has been playing for Cuiabá EC since 2019 .
Career
society
Bressan began his career in his hometown with the Brazilian sixth division club Atlético Tubarão . In April 2007 he moved to Belarus for the first division club FK Homel , where he made his professional debut that same month. In January 2010 he moved to the league competitor BATE Baryssau , where he was the league's top scorer in 2010 and 2011 . He made his debut in the Champions League in September 2011. In the Champions League he scored four goals for Baryssau, and he also scored once in the win over Bayern Munich in October 2012. In November 2012 he signed a contract in Russia with Alania Wladikawkas . With Vladikavkaz, however, he rose to the second division in the summer of 2013. In January 2014 he moved to Kazakhstan for FK Aqtöbe . After less than a month at Aqtöbe, Bressan broke his contract on February 6, 2014 and moved to league rivals FK Astana . In August 2014 he moved to Portugal for Rio Ave FC .
For the 2016/17 season he moved to APOEL Nicosia in Cyprus .
National team
After obtaining Belarusian citizenship, Bressan was first called up to the national team in 2012 and made his debut in a friendly against Moldova in February of the same year . With the U-23 selection , he took part in the 2012 Olympic Games . He scored his only goal in the tournament against his native Brazil , of all places.
