The Skafida Peak ( Bulgarian връх Скафида wrach Skafida ) is a 2100 m high and rocky mountain in the main ridge of the northern Sentinel Range of the Ellsworth Mountains in the west Antarctic Ellsworthland . It rises 2.43 km southeast of MacDonald Peak , 11.8 km west-southwest of Mount Cornwell , 6.2 km northwest of Mount Crawford , 12.1 km north-northeast of Arzos Peak and 12.3 km east-northeast of Fisher Nunatak . Its steep east and south slopes are partly not icy. The Newcomer Glacier lies east of it.
American scientists mapped it in 1961. The Bulgarian Commission for Antarctic Geographical Names named it in 2014 after the medieval Skafida fortress in southeastern Bulgaria .
