The Skillet Fork is a right tributary of the Little Wabash River in the US state of Illinois . The river is 158 km long and drains an area of ​​2,742 km² in southeast Illinois.

The Skillet Fork rises in northeast Marion County , about 25 km northeast of Salem . Initially it flows south. In the village of Wayne City , the only major settlement on the river, he turns to the east-southeast. It finally flows into the Little Wabash River 8 km north of the small town of Carmi .

The river shows a strongly meandering behavior. However, below Wayne City, it has been straightened and channeled in numerous places. Notable tributaries of Skillet Fork are Horse Creek and Main Outlet (both from right).
