The Schwäbisch Gmünd sculpture trail is a sculpture trail in Schwäbisch Gmünd in the Ostalb district , about 50 km east of Stuttgart .
Emergence
From around 120 works of art in parks, squares or in the open countryside, the city has selected suitable sculptures for a sculpture path in the historic center . As a gold and silver city , you see yourself in an artistic and sculptural tradition. One of the foundations for this is the Royal Higher Technical College for Precious Metals , today the College of Design. Sculptures by four former professors, lecturers and students can be seen in the sculpture path. The churches and monasteries of the city suggest a sacred theme of the works and a preference for figural sculptures. The Prediger Museum adds exhibitions on the complete works of individual artists. In the district Straßdorf in 2002 ways of art , another sculpture, furnished. Attempts to combine both art forms have so far been unsuccessful.
