Sculptures

Dietrich Klinge is known for his abstract human figures, which at first glance seem like roughly hewn, archaic wooden sculptures. However, they are bronze casts that were created with the help of master models made of wood and thus reproduce the surface structure of the wooden models. With the help of a carefully applied patina, the impression that the sculptures are made of wood is reinforced. The size of the sculptures vary from a few centimeters to several meters. Thematically, Klinges works are about the representation and visualization of the diversity of the human being and the human body.
