Blickachsen is the name of a series of sculpture exhibitions that - since 1997 under the leadership of Galerie Scheffel and since 2013 under the direction of the Blickachsen gGmbH Foundation- is held every two years for around four months (end of May to beginning of October). The focus of the exhibition takes place in Bad Homburg vor der Höhe . In the meantime, other cities and locations in the Rhine-Main area are also participating.
The exhibition series owes its name to the view axes that the garden architect Peter-Joseph Lenné created in the Homburg spa gardens in the mid-19th century .
