Peter Lundberg (* 1961 in Green Bay , Wisconsin , USA ) is an American sculptor .

life and work

Lundberg is the son of Swedish immigrants . He attended Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs from 1979 to 1982 . From 1979 to 1982 he studied mathematics and physics , from 1983 to 1985 sculpture at Bennington College in Bennington , Vermont . From 1994 to 1997 he was artist in residence at Socrates Sculpture Park in Long Island City in the borough of Queens of New York City and participated in the founding of Connecticut Sculpture Park in Bridgeport , Connecticut in 1995 . From 1994 to 2000 Lundberg was assistant to the sculptor Mark di Suvero and since 1996 his qualified crane operator, as well as 2001 with John Raymond Henry . Lundberg also worked in Sweden and Germany. From 1997 to 2000 Lundberg was a restorer for the Alexander Calder Foundation .

The artist lives and works in Bomoseen Rutland Counties in Vermont and in Nuremberg . He creates his monumental sculptures in, sometimes red, concrete and steel.
