The Slack is a coastal river in France that runs in the Pas-de-Calais department in the Hauts-de-France region . It rises in the municipality of Hermelinghen , in the Regional Nature Park Caps et Marais d'Opale , generally drains in a westerly direction and flows into the English Channel after 22 kilometers at Ambleteuse , on the municipal border with Wimereux .
