Slatina (German 1939-1945 moor ) is a settlement of the municipality Přešťovice in the Czech Republic . It is located seven kilometers northeast of Strakonice and belongs to the Okres Strakonice .

Geographical location
Slatina is located in the Blatenská pahorkatina hill country in the source of the Slatinský brook. The Borovnice rises to the northeast (500 m) and the Brdo (508 m) to the south. The Silniční rybník pond is located at the western end of the village.

Slatina is part of the Přešťovice cadastral district.

Neighboring towns are Kbelnice and Jemnice in the north, Brusy and Vítkov in the northeast, Na Ovčíně in the east, Nové Kestřany in the southeast, Štěkeň in the south, U Mostáka, Petrlice and Přešťovice in the southwest, Rovná in the west and Domanice, Radomyšl and Rohozná in the northwest.
history
Slatina was founded in 1796 as Dominikaldorf by the owner of the Stiekna estate , Joseph-Niklas zu Windisch-Graetz . The subsequent owner and at the same time the last feudal lord was his son Alfred I zu Windisch-Graetz from 1802 . In 1840 Slatina consisted of 15 houses with 102 inhabitants, the parish was Stiekna. Until the middle of the 19th century, the village of the allodial rule Stiekna and the Mladiegowitz estate remained subject.
After the abolition of patrimonial Slatina formed from 1850 a district of the market town of Štěkeň . During the German occupation , the village was given the German name Moor . Since Slatina can only be accessed by roads from Přeš überovice and only accessible from Štěkeň via forest paths, the village was re-pared in 1948 to Přešťovice.
