Titular diocese of Slebte
The diocese of Slebte ( New-Irish : Sléibhte , English : Sleaty , lat. Dioecesis Slebtensis seu Sancti Fiaci inter montes ) is a titular diocese of the Roman Catholic Church .
It goes back to an earlier bishopric in the village of Sleaty , which is in what is now County Laois in Ireland . The diocese was established in the 5th century and belonged to the ecclesiastical province of Armagh . Later the bishopric was moved to Leighlin (now the Diocese of Kildare and Leighlin ).
