Smiljan Radic

Smiljan Radic (born June 21, 1965 in Santiago de Chile ) is a Chilean architect .

Life

Radic completed his architecture studies at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile in Santiago de Chile in 1989. This was followed by studies in aesthetics at the Venetian Istituto Universitario di Architettura de Venezia from 1990 to 1992 . In 1994 he won the international Platia Eleftería competition in Heraklion , Crete . In the same year he started his own office for planning and construction with Nicolas Skutelis and Flavio Zanon.

Since 2000 he has become known both in Chile and internationally for his planning and construction. In 2007 he was visiting professor in the University of Texas system . Today he lives and works in Santiago de Chile.

Awards

  • 2001: Award of the Colegio de Arquitectos de Chile for its project residential area Concepción, Chile 2000.
