Smyslov (German Smislow ) is a district of the city of Tábor in the Czech Republic . It is located five kilometers east of the city center of Tábor and belongs to the Okres Tábor .
geography
Smyslov is located in the Táborská pahorkatina ( Tabor hill country ). The village lies in the basin of the Smyslovský creek, which is dammed above the place in the Smyslovský rybník pond and below in the Podvesní rybník. The Stříbrný creek flows east of Smyslov; Velký hlinický rybník and Knížecí rybník ponds lie in its valley. The D3 motorway passes Smyslov to the west, and the Horní Cerekev – Tábor railway to the east ; the stop is about 1.5 kilometers outside the village at the Smyslov fuel depot owned by Čepro. The Velký hutecký les ( Great Cottage Forest ) extends to the east .
Neighboring towns are Boubín, Hlinice and Dvůr in the north, V Chalupách, Vřesce, Vranovsko and Dobronice u Chýnova in the north-east, Kloužovice, Chýnov and Stříbrné Hutě in the east, Zárybničná Lhota and Osada Zástavy in the south-east, Zástavy in the south West and Čekanice and Záluží in the northwest.
history
The first documentary mention of Zmyslov took place on January 20, 1421, when King Sigismund gave Petr von Zmyslov a coat of arms. In 1464 Přibík von Dobronice bought several farms in Zmyslov . The village fell desolate in the 16th century. One of the subsequent owners was the Tábor citizen Václav Jiřík, who sold the estate to the city of Tábor in 1534. During this time, the spelling Smyslov came into use in addition to Zmyslov .
There were several free courts in Smyslov . From 1532 Jan and Jakub Zmyslovský von Radvanov owned one; from 1589 it belonged to Jiří Opršál from Jetřichovice and Bohuslav Mazaný from Slavětín, who are probably relatives of the Zmyslovský. The other Freihof belonged to Jan the Elder Lhotka von Smyslov, who can be traced back to the coat of arms in 1536; Members of the Lhotka von Smyslov family lived in the village until the 19th century.
At the beginning of the 17th century, Kuneš Dvořecký von Olbramovice acquired the village of Smyslov with a fortress and two farms. The third farm was owned by Jindřich Sádlo from Vrážná on Liderovice. Because of their participation in the uprising of the estates , both Dvořecký and Sádlo were sentenced to loss of neck and honor after the battle of the White Mountain , but were later pardoned with the confiscation of the property.
After the abolition of patrimonial formed Smyslov / Smislow 1849 a district of the municipality Dobronice in the judicial district Tábor. From 1868 the village belonged to the Tabor district . In 1869 Smyslov had 106 inhabitants, in 1900 there were 128. After the First World War, Smyslov formed its own municipality. In 1930 104 people lived in the 18 houses of the community. Twenty years later the population had dropped to 79. In 1961 it was incorporated into Měšice, and since November 26, 1971, Smyslov has been part of Tábor. In 1991 Smyslov had 36 inhabitants. In 2001 the place consisted of 19 houses in which 37 people lived. Smyslov consists of a total of 27 addresses.
