Sniper 2 is a film directed by Craig R. Baxley , shot in Hungary in 2002 and produced in the USA . It is the sequel to Sniper from 1993.

action

The CIA hires ex-Marine Thomas Beckett to kill a general responsible for ethnic massacres in Kosovo . John Cole, a former Army sniper , is his team partner. Its task is the liberation of the regime critic Pavel. Sophia, a contact person, also joins them. Beckett kills the general with a shot in the chest. Both then flee in a tram. On the way, they ram a police car, then flee on foot. Cole is arrested. Beckett escapes and meets with Sophia and her two brothers. He is given a gun. The four team up and free Cole together with Pavel on their way to a maximum security prison. On their flight they are caught by the dead general's army division. Sophia's brothers die in an exchange of fire. Pavel, Sophia, Cole and Beckett manage to escape, Sophia leaves the team. The rest of them can get through to a friend of Pavel's, who, however, betrays them. They flee again. Eventually they are caught by another sniper. Cole is seriously injured, Beckett is able to defeat the shooter. A helicopter picks up the trio. Cole dies in the helicopter as a result of the injury.

Sequels

In 2004, the sequel Sniper 3 followed, again with Tom Berenger in the lead role. The film was released on VHS and DVD. Sniper: Reloaded was created in 2011 without Berenger's involvement, in 2014 Sniper: Legacy was published, in which he again played a leading role. Sniper: Ghost Shooter was released in 2016. 2017 followed Sniper: Homeland Security ( Sniper: Ultimate Kill ).
