The Snyder Peninsula is a mountainous peninsula on the Black Coast of the Palmerland in the Antarctic Peninsula . It extends between Lamplugh Inlet in the north and Odom Inlet in the south. Its eastern extension is Cape Howard .
The United States Geological Survey mapped them in 1974. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named them in 1976 after Rear Admiral Joseph Edward Snyder Jr. (1924-2007), responsible for the processing of projects in the Antarctic in the service of the Assistant Secretary of the Navy for Research and Development in the United States Department of the Navy from 1967 to 1969.
