Sofio Guinto Balce
Sofio Guinto Balce (born November 26, 1941 in Vinzons , † June 25, 2004 ) was Bishop of Cabanatuan .
Life
Sofio Guinto Balce was ordained a priest on June 12, 1965 .
On May 9, 1980, John Paul II appointed him auxiliary bishop in Caceres and titular bishop of Lamphua . The Apostolic Nuncio in the Philippines , Bruno Torpigliani , consecrated him on July 12 of the same year as bishop ; Co- consecrators were Teopisto Valderrama Alberto , Archbishop of Caceres , and Porfirio R. Iligan , Bishop of Masbate .
The Pope appointed him Coadjutor Bishop of Cabanatuan on May 21, 1988 . After the death of Ciceron Santa Maria Tumbocon, he succeeded him on November 11, 1990 as Bishop of Cabanatuan.
